The «English for programmers» is intended for students of technical universities of "Computer Engineering" and "Software Engineering" direction.The present coursebook is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the program on foreign languages for non-linguistic universities.The purpose - the development of speaking, reading, writing and listening, provided by the program. Consists of 12 lessons, keys to exercises and a dictionary. The text material of each section is intended for the development of recognition, perception and informative reading, as well as for the development of oral speech.The work on the texts on specialty is preceded by the implementation of pre-text, while-text, and post-text tasks, which include exercises on the compatibility of words, their ambiguity and the dependence of meanings on context, on mastering word-formation elements, on consolidating new words and phrases. The grammatical material is fixed in special exercises mainly on the basis of the vocabulary of the main text. A brief grammar guide aims to help students to compile and systematize their basic grammar knowledge. It is also built taking into account the grammatical difficulties that students encounter while reading scientific and technical literature.
